A very warm welcome to our school website!

I am honoured to be your new Headteacher. I am passionate about giving every child the very best start in life and will work hard to ensure our school is a place where children feel happy, safe, valued and excited to learn. For me, primary education should be full of wonder: moments that spark curiosity, adventures that build confidence and experiences that children remember long after they leave us. Together with our dedicated staff, we make learning magical and memorable, nurturing a lifelong love of learning and helping every child discover their strengths.

Bishopton Redmarshall is a small village primary school, set in the heart of the Bishopton village. Although we are within Darlington Local Authority, we are close to Stockton and the surrounding villages too. We support children aged from 3 - 11. Our mixed aged classes are spaces where wonderful work and support takes place. Our staff work hard to create a warm and welcoming environment for all children and grown ups!

As a mum to two girls, aged 6 and 3, I understand the joys and challenges that come with parenting, especially when balancing work and family life. These experiences shape the kind of headteacher I hope to be: someone who places children’s happiness and wellbeing at the heart of school life, while making sure parents and carers feel heard, valued and supported.

To our parents: my door is always open. Whether you have a concern, an idea, a question or a success to share, I want you to feel comfortable coming to talk to me. I am committed to supporting our staff, grown ups and most importantly, the children. Our little people are at the centre of every decision we make. I look forward to working closely with you to help your children feel happy, safe and ready to thrive.

To our children: this is your school and I cannot wait to hear your ideas, celebrate your achievements and see where your imagination takes you. We are going to have fun, get you ready for your future, support you to believe in yourself and achieve all your dreams and help you in anyway possible – whether this is with your work, friendships, a hug or a high five! Always remember, you can talk to us, trust us and have a good giggle with us too!

I look forward to our Bishopton journey, building on everything that makes this school special and creating wonderful memories together.
